Spotlight on Australia, Ciarb Young Members Group Regional Global Steeting Committee ‘Spotlight on’ Series on 16 September 2024
This series covers arbitration-related developments (recent or otherwise) in jurisdictions all around the world and sheds light on arbitration law and practice in underrepresented or emerging jurisdictions. I provide two examples of how Australia is a pro-arbitration jurisdiction. The first case example is in relation to the enforcement of arbitration agreements and the second case example is in relation to the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.

Tips for tribunals and counsel when a respondent does not appear or stops participating were discussed.
